Dubai Bangladesh Cement Mills Limited was incorporated on 2003 as a private limited company in Bangladesh under the Companies Act 1994. It is an International Standard Organization (ISO9001:2008 & ISO14001:2004) certified company.
The history of A Hossain Group stretches back to later part of the eighties. At the very outset of the group started its business of Cement Import, Trading & Shipping in the country.In the first phase, the group established Cement manufacturing plant in the name and style of “Five Rings” brand under the Proprietorship of Dubai Bangladesh Cement Mills Ltd. This Plant is located nearby the world heritage Sundarbans, at the foot of second international sea port of Mongla on the bank of the river Pashur and also attached to Khulna Mongla High way. This plant afforded a real boosting up revenue earnings to the group as well as contributed and played an important role to the national economy positively. Dubai Bangladesh Cement Mills Ltd. launched commercial production on 18th February, 2003 with having a production capacity of 0.54 Million MT per annum. It expands trading for the expedience of the customers and traders through providing its finished product towards in the area of Eastern and Western part of South region & Northern part of the country.
Secondly, another ball mill with a capacity of 0.612 Million MT per annum is set up for commercial operation from 2016 to meet the challenges of growing demand day by day in all parts of cement market. Thirdly, the company intends to gear up a modern technology of VRM cement manufacturing plant with a capacity of 1.8 Million MT per annum to meet the excessive demand in the country. Raw Material Testing:
Five Rings Cement has a modern, state-of-the art laboratory of European standard, where it has all the necessary testing facilities. Both chemical and physical properties of all the different types of raw materials are inspected and trial test runs are carried out in the mini ball mill before unloading the raw materials for final use.
LAB Testing Facility:
Five Rings Cement emphasizes on delivering quality product to its customers. Quality Control is continuously monitored by its own laboratory consisting of top notch testing equipment. Simultaneously, test results are also obtained from KUET, BUET. The lab equipment is regularly calibrated by BUET. It has all the necessary testing facilities for testing cement and all other raw materials wherein it checks hourly ‑fineness residue of product and the setting time every two hours in order to control the product water consistency. In addition, the lab also has mortar testing facility to check the strength of cement and carries out chloride test as well.

Health and Safety Month is about engaging everyone in the Group’s absolute priority – HEALTH & SAFETY. Being aware of workplace risks and knowing how to manage them is crucial to working safety.
